SCED to visit Shanghai

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, will depart for Shanghai this afternoon (June 28) to attend a seminar entitled "Hong Kong – Powering East China's Innovation and Technology Enterprises to Go Global" organised by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Task Force on Supporting Mainland Enterprises in Going Global to promote Hong Kong's advantages as a platform for Mainland enterprises to explore overseas markets. Mr Yau will also meet with local enterprises to foster co-operation and exchange.
Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong on June 30. The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development during Mr Yau's absence.
