Extension of polling hours for all polling stations of 2023 District Council Ordinary Election due to failure of Electronic Poll Register system

The Electoral Affairs Commission (EAC) announced today (December 10) that due to the failure of the Electronic Poll Register system, all polling stations of the 2023 District Council Ordinary Election have switched to use the printed-form final register for issuing ballot papers.
After taking relevant circumstances into consideration, the EAC has decided to extend the polling hours for all polling stations to midnight for the affected electors to cast their votes.
