Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

At 11.30am, a bus driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling along Route Twisk towards Kam Tin, while a motorcycle driven by the 60-year-old man was travelling along Route Twisk towards Tsuen Wan. When approaching near a pavilion, the motorcycle reportedly lost control and rammed into the bus.
The motorcycle driver was trapped under the bus and rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious head and multiple body injuries, the man was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 12.24pm.
The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
