Principal Officials of HKSAR Government visit grass-roots families in Tuen Mun District for distribution of Chinese New Year blessing bags (with photos/video)

     The Chinese New Year Home Visit Programme co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Department continued today (January 22). The Principal Officials (POs) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government paid visits to grass-roots families in Tuen Mun District today and distributed blessing bags in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

     The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, and the Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, together with a number of POs today visited Tuen Mun District. Accompanied by the District Officer (Tuen Mun), Ms Aubrey Fung, Mr Chan together with the Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, and the Secretary for Development, Ms Bernadette Linn, visited the elderly singleton, the elderly doubletons and the ethnic minority family living in Yau Oi Estate, Tuen Mun. Mr Wong together with the Secretary for Housing, Ms Winnie Ho, the Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, and the Acting Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Joseph Chan, also visited the elderly doubletons living in the Estate.

     The POs visited the elderlies and the ethnic minority family during the festival and chatted with them to understand their daily needs. Chinese New Year blessing bags were distributed to the families with an aim to deliver the HKSAR Government's seasonal greetings and celebrate the festive joy with citizens.

     The POs of the Government tomorrow (January 23) will continue to visit grass-roots families to extend warm regards in celebration of the festival.
