The Lands Department issued two consents for the sale of 698 residential units and three consents for the sale of units in uncompleted commercial development projects in January, a spokesman for the department said today (February 5).
The residential units, located in Tuen Mun and Chung Hom Kok are estimated to be completed in September 2004 and March 2005 respectively.
At the end of January 2004, there were 13 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 9,420 residential units pending approval. Among them, 3,514 units are expected to be completed within 2004 and 5,906 units are estimated to be completed before October 2005. There were two applications for pre-sale consent involving commercial units in Kowloon.
In addition, there were two applications for consent to assign involving 1,976 residential units and three applications for consents to assign for commercial developments pending approval.
The public can obtain up-to-date information on consents for the sale of units in uncompleted developments and cases pending approval by calling the hotline 2147 5475 or visiting the Lands Department website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd.
The names of the developer, its parent company (if any), solicitor's firm acting, authorised person (including the name of the firm) and the mortgagee bank (if any) in respect of individual development are also available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the hotline or the Lands Department website.
