The Lands Department issued one consent for the sale of 2,200 residential units in an uncompleted development project last month (June).
The development is located in Yuen Long and is estimated to be completed by September 2004, a spokesman of the Department said today (July 7).
The department issued a total of eight consents for the sale of residential units in uncompleted developments between April and June 2003. All of them were issued within the department's performance target time limit.
"These consents are for the sale of 5,206 residential units in various districts of the territory. Two of these developments comprising 200 units are to be completed in 2003 and the remaining six in 2004," the spokesman said.
As at the end of June, a total of 18 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 10,564 residential units located in various parts of Hong Kong are pending approval. All of them are expected to be completed before February 2005. There are five applications for pre-sale consent involving commercial units pending approval.
Members of the public may obtain up to date information on consents to sell residential units in uncompleted developments issued for the last six months and cases pending approval by dialing the hotline 2147 5475 or on Lands Department Website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd/.
The names of the developer, its parent company (if any), solicitors firm acting, Authorized Person (including the name of the firm) and the Mortgagee Bank (if any) in respect of individual developments are also available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the hotline or the Lands Department Website.
