Appointment of Non-Executive Directors of Securities and Futures Commission announced

     The Government announced today (June 26) that the Financial Secretary, under the authority delegated by the Chief Executive pursuant to the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571), has reappointed Mr Vincent Chan Chun-hung and appointed Mr Bernard Man, SC, as Non-Executive Directors of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for a term of two years starting August 1, 2026.

     A spokesman for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau said, "Mr Man, SC, has substantial experience in securities and regulatory matters, as well as in banking and corporate disputes. I am confident that he will make valuable contributions to the work of the SFC.

     "Mr Chan has been making significant contributions to the promotion of good corporate governance of the SFC. We look forward to his continued support for the work of the SFC.

     "We would also like to thank the outgoing Non-Executive Director, Mr Victor Dawes, SC, for his dedication and contributions to the SFC over the past six years. His stewardship has been conducive to fostering the development and regulation of Hong Kong's securities and futures markets."

     The SFC is chaired by Dr Kelvin Wong Tin-yau. Other serving Non-Executive Directors are Mr Chew Fook-aun, Mr Johnson Kong Chi-how, Mr Keith Pogson, Mr Tony Tang Xiaodong, Mr Michael Wong Yick-kam and Mr Dieter Yih Lai-tak.
