Special traffic arrangements for Tin Hau Festival

(1) Sai Kung Town Centre
The following special arrangements will be implemented from 8am on April 30 to 6pm on June 2:
A. Road closure and traffic diversions
- Yi Chun Street from Yi Chun Street Public Toilet to its western junction with Man Nin Street will be closed;
- Nin Chun Street will be rerouted from one-way southbound to one-way northbound;
- Man Nin Street from its western junction with Yi Chun Street to its junction with Nin Chun Street will be converted from one-way eastbound into two-way traffic; and
- Traffic along Man Nin Street heading for Po Tung Road will be diverted via northbound Nin Chun Street and westbound Man Nin Street.
B. Suspension of parking spaces
The following parking spaces will be suspended:
- Metered parking spaces on Man Nin Street (Nos. 28081A, 28081B, 28082A, 28082B, 28083A, 28083B, 28084A, 28084B, 28085A, 28085B, 28086A, 28086B, 28088A, 28088B, 28089A and 28089B);
- Metered parking spaces on Po Tung Road (Nos. 28025A, 28025B and 28027A);
- Metered parking spaces on Yi Chun Street (Nos. 28091B, 28093A, 28093B, 28094A, 28094B, 28095A, 28095B, 28096A, 28096B, 28117A, 28117B and 28118B);
- Metered parking spaces on Nin Chun Street (Nos. 28348A, 28348B, 28349A, and 28349B); and
- All motorcycle parking spaces opposite to Mona Fong Family Medicine Clinic on Man Nin Street.
Seventeen temporary motorcycle parking spaces will be provided on Man Nin Street near the promenade.
(2) Joss House Bay
The following arrangements will be implemented from 0.01am on May 8 to 11.59pm on May 9:
- Tai Au Mun Road from a point about 75 metres north from its junction with Po Toi O Chuen Road to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except for access to Po Toi O Chuen, Tin Hau Temple and The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club;
- Ten metered parking spaces (Nos. 28670A, 28670B, 28671A, 28671B, 28672A, 28672B, 28673A, 28673B, 28674A and 28674B) on Tai Au Mun Road outside The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club will be suspended; and
- Four metered parking spaces (Nos. 28249A, 28249B, 28250A and 28250B), four motorcycle parking spaces and a coach parking space on Tai Au Mun Road near Po Toi O Chuen Road will be suspended.
Tuen Mun
--------
The following arrangements will be implemented from May 9:
A. Road closure
The following roads will be closed, except for authorised vehicles:
From 7am to 3pm:
- San Wo Lane;
- San Tak Street;
- Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between Castle Peak Road –San Hui and Pui To Road;
- Choi Yee Bridge Road;
- Tsing Yin Street;
- San Tsing Street;
- Ho Pong Street (except buses and green minibuses entering Tuen Mun Station Public Transport Interchange);
- Ming Ngai Street;
- Luk Yuen Street;
- Yan Ching Street;
- Tak Ching Circuit; and
- Westbound Pui To Road between Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and Tin Hau Road.
From 7am to 6pm:
- Tin Hau Road from its junction with Pui To Road to its junction with the vehicular access of Yip Wong Shopping Centre;
- Hung Cheung Road from its southern junction with San Ping Circuit to its junction with Tin Hau Road;
- San On Street from its southern junction with Hung Cheung Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
- Southbound Hung Cheung Road between its northern and southern junctions with San Ping Circuit;
- San Hop Lane; and
- Hing Wong Street from its junction with Hung Cheung Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction.
Intermittent closure from 1pm to 6pm:
- Eastbound Pui To Road between Tsun Wen Road and Ho Pong Street; and
- Northbound Ho Pong Street.
B. Cycle track closure
The cycle track along the western riverside of Tuen Mun River Channel between Pui To Road and Yau Oi Bridge will be closed from 7am to 6pm.
C. Traffic diversions
In connection with the road closure arrangements, the following traffic diversions will be implemented:
- Traffic along northbound Castle Peak Road – Castle Peak Bay heading for westbound Pui To Road can be diverted via westbound Tuen Hing Road, southbound Tuen Mun Road, westbound Wong Chu Road and northbound Tsing Wun Road;
- Traffic along southbound Castle Peak Road – San Hui heading for westbound Pui To Road can be diverted via southbound Castle Peak Road – Castle Peak Bay, westbound Tuen Hing Road, southbound Tuen Mun Road, westbound Wong Chu Road and northbound Tsing Wun Road;
- Traffic along southbound Tuen Mun Road heading for Yip Wong Road can be diverted via Tsing Tin Interchange, westbound Tsing Tin Road, southbound Ming Kum Road and southbound Tsing Wun Road;
- Traffic along northbound Tuen Mun Road heading for Yip Wong Road can be diverted via westbound Wong Chu Road, southbound Lung Mun Road, eastbound Lung Mun Road, northbound Lung Chak Road and eastbound Lung Chak Road;
- Traffic along southbound Tuen Mun Road heading for westbound Pui To Road can be diverted via Tsing Tin Interchange, westbound Tsing Tin Road and southbound Tsun Wen Road;
- Traffic along northbound Tuen Mun Road heading for westbound Pui To Road can be diverted via westbound Wong Chu Road and northbound Tsing Wun Road;
- Traffic along southbound Tuen Mun Road heading for San Ping Circuit can be diverted via Tsing Tin Interchange, westbound Tsing Tin Road, southbound Tsun Wen Road, westbound Pui To Road and southbound Hung Cheung Road;
- Traffic along northbound Tuen Mun Road heading for San Ping Circuit can be diverted via westbound Wong Chu Road, northbound Tsing Wun Road, northbound Ming Kum Road, eastbound Shek Pai Tau Road, southbound Tsun Wen Road, westbound Pui To Road and southbound Hung Cheung Road;
- Traffic along westbound Pui To Road can be diverted via southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road, eastbound Tuen Hing Road, southbound Tuen Mun Road, westbound Wong Chu Road and northbound Tsing Wun Road; and
- Traffic along northbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road can be diverted via eastbound Pui To Road, northbound Tuen Mun Road, Tsing Tin Interchange, westbound Tsing Tin Road and southbound Tsun Wen Road.
D. Suspension of metered parking spaces
All metered parking spaces on the following roads and car parks will be suspended, except for authorised vehicles:
From 7am to 3pm:
- San Wo Lane;
- Car park on San Wo Lane;
- Northbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road opposite to San Hui Playground;
- Tsing Yin Street;
- Car park on Tsing Yin Street;
- San Tsing Street;
- Ho Pong Street;
- Car park on Ho Pong Street;
- Luk Yuen Street;
- Yan Ching Street; and
- Tak Ching Circuit.
From 7am to 6pm:
Car park outside Tuen Mun Hung Cheung Road Sitting-out Area.
E. Suspension of car parks
Vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the car parks within the closed areas, until the roads are reopened.
During the implementation of the special traffic arrangements, any vehicles found illegally parked within the precincts of the specified areas will be towed away without prior warning, and may be subject to multiple ticketing.
Depending on the prevailing conditions, other traffic control measures will be implemented. Motorists are advised to exercise patience and tolerance, and take heed of instructions of the police officers on site.
