Remarks by SLW at media session
********************************
Following are the remarks by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Chris Sun, at a media session after attending a TV programme today morning (April 4):

Reporter: Do you think the case yesterday regarding the bus service will affect the public money?

Secretary for Labour and Welfare: I understand yesterday some of the refund machines installed in bus stations of the Kowloon Motor Bus were not operating as planned, but I can assure everyone here that there will be no loss of public money. Any loss will be fully shouldered by the bus company; as for public money, there will be no additional charges over the Government. We will make sure that the use of public money will be strictly in accordance with the agreement reached between the Government and the bus company.

And for passengers, they will also not suffer any loss. Any loss arising from this small operation will be borne in full by the bus company.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the remarks.)
