******************************************************************************************
Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre, BODW In the City 2025 was officially launched today (November 24). To amplify the impact of the Business of Design Week (BODW) in the city, different design units, organisations and brands are brought together to present over 40 thematic events across various districts in Hong Kong from today until December 7.

Themed "CurioCity", the programmes this year aim to inspire curiosity to reimagine the city from different perspectives and showcase the city's dynamic and creative power by blending cultural and commercial elements. Events are going to take place in various districts including Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, and Tsim Sha Tsui, featuring highlights such as themed tram tours, car painting, and interactions with internationally renowned designers. Through design installations, exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, and sharing sessions, locals and tourists can connect and exchange ideas by immersing themselves in the city's creative atmosphere.

Speaking at the opening ceremony today, the Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries, Miss Drew Lai, remarked that the series of events brings together local and international creative forces, not only showcasing Hong Kong's design talent but also fostering cross-sector exchanges and business partnerships. She also took the opportunity to express gratitude to this year's partner country, Italy, and all programme partners from near and afar for their support. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will continue to support the development of the local cultural and creative industries, helping them expand into the Chinese Mainland and overseas markets and reinforcing Hong Kong as the capital of creativity.
