Inland Revenue Department alerts public to fraudulent emails

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) today (November 24) alerted members of the public to fraudulent emails purportedly issued by the IRD, which seek to obtain the recipients' personal particulars by inviting them to claim tax refunds via a hyperlink provided.

The IRD has no connection with the emails and has reported the case to the Police for further investigation.

The IRD reminds members of the public not to open suspicious emails or visit hyperlinks provided in such emails.
