SJ to visit Beijing

     The Secretary for Justice, Mr Paul Lam, SC, will depart for Beijing this evening (October 27) to attend a forum on the rule of law in finance at the Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2025.

     Mr Lam will deliver a keynote speech on promoting innovation, transformation, and the restructuring of financial development within the framework of the rule of law at a forum on the rule of law in finance tomorrow (October 28). He will share views on the unique advantages of Hong Kong's legal and financial systems and ways to deepen co-operation between Hong Kong and Beijing, enhancing the construction of foreign-related rule of law.

     Mr Lam will return to Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon (October 28). During his absence, the Deputy Secretary for Justice, Dr Cheung Kwok-kwan, will be the Acting Secretary for Justice.
