Fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

At about 10.28pm yesterday, a taxi driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling along Shun On Road towards Shun Lee Estate. When approaching 9 Shun On Road, it reportedly knocked down the 84-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 0.28am today (October 27).
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is under way.
