Transport Department public service arrangements
************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) today (August 14) announced that as the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is now in force, services of the Driving Test Centres, the Written Test Centre, the Driving Test Appointment Office, the Licensing Offices, the Public Vehicles Unit, the Driving-offence Points Office, the Vehicle Inspection & Records Unit and the Cross Boundary Unit  will be suspended.

Driving tests (road tests) scheduled at or before 1pm, and driving tests (written test) scheduled while the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force or within two hours after its cancellation will be cancelled. If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in force at 11.30am, all driving tests (road tests) today will be cancelled, and driving tests (written test) will be resumed after the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled about two hours. All affected candidates will be individually informed of the rescheduled test appointment.

Members of the public who have made an appointment for vehicle examination services can make a new appointment if they cannot attend while the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force or within two hours after its cancellation.

Besides, while the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force or within two hours after its cancellation, applicants who have made appointments of driving licence-related services, renewal of vehicle licence, transfer of vehicle ownership, application for a duplicate vehicle registration document/duplicate vehicle licence, an international driving permit, retention, transfer or assignment of vehicle registration mark may proceed to the originally scheduled Licensing Offices to submit their applications during services hours (9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday) on or before August 21 without the need to make another appointment.
