System enhancement for Specified Dates Booking System under "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" to be held tomorrow and this Sunday
******************************************************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) said today (September 14) that the booking service of the Specified Dates Booking System under "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" will be suspended from 0.00am to 1am tomorrow (September 15) and from 8am to 11.59pm this Sunday (September 17) for system enhancements to refine the timeslot booking function.

Currently, applicants may reserve one of the six designated timeslots for travelling via the Specified Dates Booking System after obtaining an electronic vehicle licence from the Mainland authorities and a Closed Road Permit (CRP) from the TD.

Starting from October 1, the number of designated timeslots will be adjusted from six to four to facilitate eligible applicants' travelling. Please refer to the Annex for details. The Specified Dates Booking System will release the travelling timeslots in October for applicants' reservations starting from 1am on September 15.

The TD reminds applicants that if a vehicle issued with a CRP for "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" travelling to Guangdong Province via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) outside the reserved/assigned specified date and time, the law enforcement authorities of the Mainland and Hong Kong may refuse its entry to Guangdong Province via the HZMB.

The TD may also deprive them from reserving a specified date and time through the Specified Dates Booking System or revoke the CRP.

The TD, together with other relevant departments, will continue to closely monitor the implementation of "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles", and will review and adjust the relevant arrangements according to the actual situation and announce the details in a timely manner.
