Government Gift Shop opens (with photos)

     As part of an ongoing promotional effort to strengthen the sense of identity among Hong Kong people, and to promote Hong Kong externally, the Information Services Department has set up the Government Gift Shop that sells a variety of souvenir items with unique Hong Kong features. The physical shop and online store opened today (July 7). Members of the public are welcome to visit the online store (www.giftshop.gov.hk) to purchase gifts of their choice.
 
     A wide range of items are on sale, including memorabilia bearing the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Regional Flag, Regional Emblem, scenery and tourism landmarks, as well as souvenirs with "Happy Hong Kong" Campaign designs to advocate cultural traditions and the allure of the city.
 
     The souvenir collection is diverse, featuring bowl and plate sets, tea pots, tea cups, coffee mugs, tableware, folders, notebooks, tote bags and bear toys.
 
     Staff at and visitors to the Central Government Offices (CGO) are welcome to visit the physical gift shop, which is located on 1/F, East Wing, CGO, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
