Land Registry releases statistics for first half of 2023

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2023 was 34,822 (+30.0 per cent compared with the second half of 2022 and +6.1 per cent compared with the first half of 2022).
* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2023 was $293.16 billion (+14.0 per cent compared with the second half of 2022 but
-1.4 per cent compared with the first half of 2022).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2023 was 48,685 (+18.3 per cent compared with the second half of 2022 and +8.6 per cent compared with the first half of 2022).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2023 was $321.64 billion (-6.0 per cent compared with the second half of 2022 and -7.9 per cent compared with the first half of 2022).

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2023 was 2,348,724 (-4.5 per cent compared with the second half of 2022 and -2.9 per cent compared with the first half of 2022).
