Laden container movements between Hong Kong and the mainland of China accounted for 43.2% of the laden container throughput of the port of Hong Kong in 2022. About 71.3% of the laden container movements between Hong Kong and the Mainland were in the Pearl River Delta region, reflecting the close economic relations between Hong Kong and the region.
