Additional screenings of Film Archive's "Revisiting the Glory Days - The Legacy of Leslie and Anita"
******************************************************************************************
Organised by the Hong Kong Film Archive (HKFA) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the thematic screening programme entitled "Revisiting the Glory Days - The Legacy of Leslie and Anita" between April and December commemorates the 20th anniversary of the passing of superstars Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui. The screening programme received overwhelming response and all tickets had been sold out. Additional screenings of five films of the programme have been scheduled for September and October, which are the birth months of Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui respectively, at the HKFA Cinema to allow more audiences to revisit the charisma of the two superstars. The screening programme is one of the programmes of the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2023.

The five films with additional screenings include "Rouge" (1988). Co-starring the two superstars, the film tells of the romance between famous courtesan Fleur and a wealthy heir in the 1930s. Other films include "Days of Being Wild" (1990), in which Leslie Cheung plays a rootless lothario, and "Once a Thief" (1991), in which he plays a character who has been adopted and trained to become a thief. Starring Anita Mui, "Kawashima Yoshiko" (1990) sees her portraying the legendary spy, and "Eighteen Springs" (1997), the psychologically conflicted Gu Manlu. The five films are in Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles. The additional screening schedule is as follows:
