CE leads delegation to visit Chongqing

     ​The Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, will lead a delegation to visit Chongqing tomorrow (May 10) to attend the High-Level Meeting cum First Plenary Session of the Hong Kong/Chongqing Co-operation Conference.
      
     Members of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government delegation will include the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki; the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau; the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong; and the Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Clement Woo.
      
     During the visit, Mr Lee and the delegation will meet with leaders of Chongqing and visit local facilities and projects in areas including innovation and technology, and logistics.
      
     Mr Lee said that Hong Kong and Chongqing have always maintained close exchanges, and a specific co-operation mechanism between the two places will be established through this visit. Hong Kong and Chongqing will deepen co-operation comprehensively and achieve complementarity and mutual benefits, enabling the development of both places to reach new heights.
      
     Mr Lee will return to Hong Kong on May 12. During his absence, the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will be the Acting Chief Executive. During the absence of Mr Chan Kwok-ki, the Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, will be the Acting Chief Secretary for Administration. During the absence of Mr Yau, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development. During the absence of Professor Sun, the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Ms Lillian Cheong, will be the Acting Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry.
