Second "Happy Hong Kong" Gourmet Marketplace to take place on May 6 and 7
***********************************************************************************
The Home Affairs Department (HAD) will present the second "Happy Hong Kong" Gourmet Marketplace on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday (May 6 and 7) at the area adjacent to the Amphitheatre of Sha Tin Park. Entry to the Marketplace is free and does not require admission tickets.

Featuring about 70 booths that offer Chinese cuisines and local flavours, the second "Happy Hong Kong" Gourmet Marketplace also includes spectacular performances and a children's playground for members of the public to enjoy the weekend.

The Sha Tin Gourmet Marketplace will open from 10am to 6pm on May 6 and 7. To facilitate the smooth flow of visitors during the event, certain access points leading to the Lek Yuen Bridge and to the Amphitheatre of Sha Tin Park will be designated as dedicated entrances and exits for the Marketplace (see the map attached).

The 2023-24 Budget announced the launch of the "Happy Hong Kong" Campaign for the general public, with one of the highlights being the hosting of Gourmet Marketplaces at various locations by the HAD for the public to enjoy good food in the city. The first Marketplace was concluded smoothly at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on April 29 and 30. The third Marketplace will take place on June 3 and 4 at VESSEL along the Kwun Tong Promenade, and admission is free for members of the public.
