Government appoints self-recommended youth members to Committee on Support Programme for Employees with Disabilities
******************************************************************************************
The Government announced today (April 28) the appointment of two members to the Committee on the Support Programme for Employees with Disabilities (CSPED) through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth (MSSY), from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2025.

The two new members are Ms Chan Ka-yee and Mr Wong Pok-him. Ms Chan is now a psychiatric nurse, while Mr Wong is the director of an information technology firm.

The CSPED was established in 2013 to advise the Director of Social Welfare on the implementation of the Support Programme for Employees with Disabilities (SPED), and assess the applications for subsidies in accordance with the terms and criteria laid down for the SPED. Furthermore, the Government regularly recruits young persons aged between 18 and 35 who are eager to serve the community to join the Government's advisory committees through the MSSY with a view to providing more opportunities for young people to participate in policy discussion.
