**************************************************************************
In support of the National Security Education Day, the Police Force held an open day today (April 15) at the Hong Kong Police College, with the aim of enhancing the public's understanding of the importance of national security to Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability and the Force's work in safeguarding national security.

With the theme of "National Security, Foundation of Stability and Prosperity", the open day featured a rich diversity of programmes, comprising two sessions of performances. Apart from the grand show performed by the Force Escort Group, the Police Band, the Police Dog Unit and Counter Terrorism Response Unit, visitors also had the opportunity to visit various exhibition booths after the show.

In addition to the exhibition panels on national security education, booths were set up to introduce the relevant work of the Security Bureau and its disciplinary forces and auxiliary service. Officers from different Police units introduced their areas of work and equipment to the visitors. The participants could also take part in the virtual reality games to enhance their understanding of the work of the Police.

The Force sought to raise public awareness of national security and law-abiding through the event, and enhance public understanding of the inseparable link between national security and daily life, thereby driving their support for the Force's work in safeguarding national security.
