The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) held a seminar for university students in Barcelona, Spain, on March 29 (Barcelona time), to promote Hong Kong's abundant opportunities for career development. The event was organised jointly with the Catalan Association of Public Universities, which comprises eight universities in Spain's Catalonia region, including the University of Barcelona where the event took place.

Deputy Representative of HKETO, Brussels Miss Grace Li, introduced Hong Kong's unique advantages under the "one country, two systems" principle, its vital connector role between Mainland China and the rest of the world, as well as its cosmopolitan lifestyle. Miss Li highlighted the latest talent attraction schemes and initiatives of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, which enables young talents to stay, study, and develop their careers. The seminar also included a presentation on the business environment in Hong Kong by the Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents, as well as experience-sharing from a Catalan expatriate working in Hong Kong.

Students and professors from the eight universities in Barcelona took part in the seminar, which was followed by a reception.
