The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) joined hands with four major Greek business organisations to promote Hong Kong business and investment opportunities to Greek entrepreneurs at a seminar in Athens on March 2 (Greek time).

Deputy Representative of HKETO, Brussels Mr Henry Tsoi, described Hong Kong's strengths as a global financial and trading centre, stressing that with its business-friendly cosmopolitan environment, simple and low tax regime and world-class logistics and infrastructure, Hong Kong is a safe and reliable platform for Greek enterprises to expand their business into the Asian markets.

Mr Tsoi highlighted the facilitation measures the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government has put in place to make it easier for businesses and talents to come to live, work and do business in Hong Kong. Greek businesses can rely on the advice and assistance of the HKSAR Government and related organisations, as well as Hong Kong's expert professional services to develop in Hong Kong.

Referring to the recent launch of the "Hello Hong Kong" Campaign, Mr Tsoi said that Hong Kong had lifted most anti-epidemic measures and is welcoming business visitors and tourists from around the world. He noted in the Financial Secretary's recent Budget speech that measures had been announced to forge ahead with high-quality developments, making major investments for Hong Kong's rapid development into an innovation and technology hub and forecasting Gross Domestic Product growth of 3.5 per cent to 5.5 per cent this year.

The seminar was organised by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Greek Exporters Association (SEVE), and Enterprise Greece. It was supported by HKETO, Brussels, Invest Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
