******************************************************************************************
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) launched a free online puppet programme, "Blue Fruit Tree in the Fog" by Fantasy Puppet Theatre, in its "Cheers!" Series, offering audiences of all ages a story with endless joy through ingenious puppets and props. The first two episodes are now available on the department's Edutainment Channel.

There are three episodes in the story, "Blue Fruit Tree in the Fog", in which Moly the mole, a skilful potter, receives a parcel from Kuma the bear one day. Kuma asks Moly to help mend a broken plate and invites him to come to his place. Kuma requests Moly to pick some blue fruit on his way for decoration of the cake. To find the blue fruit, the timid Moly enters the forest at night, embarking on an exciting and foggy journey.

Featuring wood-carved rod marionettes designed by puppeteer Chen Ying-ching, the programme with detailed and realistic props transposes audiences to the miniature world of marionettes. In addition to an adventurous and warm journey, audiences can appreciate the superb craftsmanship of puppetry through the story.

Fantasy Puppet Theatre was established in 2005 and has been striving to work on each of its works from story creation, puppet-making, music composition to staging. The art group is committed to presenting productions that are rich in the spirit and style of fantasies so as to provide children with a rich resource for imagination during their growth.

Each episode of the online programme "Cheers!" Series: "Blue Fruit Tree in the Fog" by Fantasy Puppet Theatre is approximately five to seven minutes long.
