Hong Kong Customs holds 6th Three-Country-Five-Party Talks (with photos)

     The Customs and Excise Department of Hong Kong (C&ED) today (February 15) held the 6th Three-Country-Five-Party Talks at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Members of the Three-Country-Five-Party Task Force include the Anti-Smuggling Bureau of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, the Australian Border Force, the Australian Federal Police, the C&ED, the Macao Customs Service and the New Zealand Customs Service. 

     This year's Talks is the first to be held after the COVID-19 pandemic since the event last took place in Ningbo in 2019. It aims to promote intelligence exchange and enforcement co-operation on a multi-agency level in combating transnational drug trafficking activities. In the meeting, the members introduced the latest drug trafficking trends and significant cases of mutual co-operation in their respective jurisdictions. The C&ED also analysed and highlighted the latest drug trafficking trends and successful enforcement operations of the department during the past few years. Looking ahead, participating law enforcement agencies will continue to strengthen co-operation and exchanges to boost the effectiveness of suppressing transnational drug crimes.
