HKETO, Brussels supports film industry at Asian Film Festival Barcelona

     The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) is supporting the Hong Kong film industry at the Asian Film Festival Barcelona, taking place from October 26 to November 6 in Spain.

     The Festival is screening five Hong Kong productions - Ann Hui's "Love After Love" (2020), Emily Chan's "Madalena" (2021), Judy Chu's "Sunshine of My Life" (2022), Aubrey Lam's "Twelve Days" (2021) and Ho Cheuk-tin's "The Sparring Partner" (2022).

     On November 3 (Barcelona time), HKETO, Brussels hosted a reception for Spanish film distributors, cinema directors and festival jury members. At the reception, Deputy Representative of HKETO, Brussels Miss Grace Li, said the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government is committed to supporting Hong Kong filmmakers and emerging talents. Further to the recent opening of two major museums, the HKSAR Government has announced new plans to expedite Hong Kong's development into an arts and cultural hub connecting the city with all parts of the world.

     The Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Around 110 films from over 25 countries and regions are being shown during the Festival.
