Hospital Authority announces senior appointment (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority.

     The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson announced the following senior appointment today (October 20):

     Dr Wong Yiu-chung will be appointed as Cluster Chief Executive (CCE) of New Territories West (NTW) and Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) with effect from November 1, 2022.

     Dr Wong is a specialist in radiology, and is currently the Deputising CCE of NTW and Deputising HCE of TMH. Dr Wong has much management experience in leading cluster and corporate quality improvement projects. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Deputy HCE of TMH and had been assisting CCE on strategic planning and development of health care services. In addition, Dr Wong also steered the key clinical development initiatives in radiology of the HA, including introduction of artificial intelligence into radiology services and the establishment of Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography services in TMH.

     The HA Chairman, Mr Henry Fan, and the HA Chief Executive, Dr Tony Ko, congratulate Dr Wong on his new appointment and wish him every success in taking up the new roles.
