Government appeals to industry voters to actively participate in HKADC Nomination Exercise

The HKADC received nominations from 15 eligible candidates during the nomination period. Information of the candidates and their respective arts interests are listed in the Annex. To allow the industry to learn more about the candidates of the five contested arts interests, the HKADC will hold a candidate forum on October 15 (Saturday) at the HKADC Conference Room. Candidates of the five contested arts interests will present their platforms to industry voters of their respective arts interests and answer questions from them on-site or online. The candidates' platforms and curricula vitae are also uploaded to the website: voteforarts2022.hkadc.org.hk. The Government encourages registered voters of the relevant arts interests to actively participate in the candidate forum.
Polling will take place from October 21 to 24 (Friday to Monday) at Mong Kok Community Hall in Mong Kok Complex. Representatives of the five contested arts interests will be elected by registered voters from the respective arts interests. The Government appeals to relevant voters to participate actively in the polling and support the Nomination Exercise.
The HKADC is a statutory body established to promote the development of arts in Hong Kong. The term of office of its current members, including representatives of 10 arts interests, will expire on December 31, 2022. The HKADC is conducting the Nomination Exercise to nominate representatives of the relevant arts interests. The nominated representatives will be submitted to the Chief Executive for consideration of appointment to the HKADC for the next term commencing January 1, 2023.
