Joint Concert of Music Office Bands, Choir and Orchestras to feature all-time Chinese and Western favourites

     The Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will present a joint concert at 7.30pm on July 24 at the Concert Hall of Hong Kong City Hall. The Music Office Children's Choir, the Music Office Joint Symphonic Band, the New Territories Youth Chinese Orchestra and the Music Office Junior Symphony Orchestra will perform a wide selection of Chinese and Western favourite classics at the concert.
 
     The concert will begin with the Music Office Children's Choir performance of a selection of songs, including the English folk song "The Tailor of Gloucester" arranged by Giebler, and the melodious "Why We Sing". The Music Office Joint Symphonic Band will feature diverse renditions, including "Homura" adapted from the theme song of the Japanese animation "Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train"; and "Instant Concert" which consists of 30 classics melodies.

     The New Territories Youth Chinese Orchestra will perform a variety of ensemble pieces including "The Dragon" composed by Law Wai-lun, which depicts different images of the dragon; and "A Small Town", a delightful piece illustrating the simplicity of a small town. The concert will conclude with the Music Office Junior Symphony Orchestra's "Overture" from "La Fedeltà Premiata" composed by Haydn, and the powerful Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance March No. 4".

     In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, visitors are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code before being allowed to enter the venues managed by the LCSD for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering indoor venues under the management of the LCSD must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass.
