Transcript of remarks by S for Housing at media session
*******************************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Housing, Ms Winnie Ho, at a media session after the groundbreaking ceremony of a transitional housing project this afternoon (July 7):

Reporter: ... public housing, what are the main areas you will focus on and what is the next step?

Secretary for Housing: Like in the media briefing yesterday, the Task Force ("Task Force on Public Housing Projects"), one of the main areas is cross-department and cross-bureau co-ordination. We will set targets to alleviate this public housing problem. Within 100 days, I think you all know, we will produce a report with more concrete ideas. At the moment, I am open for ideas, some being mentioned by SoCO (the Society for Community Organization) just now. I will bear in mind and work with the team to see whether this is achievable and what we can do.

Reporter: How can the Task Force work to help the underprivileged?

Secretary for Housing: This is the target. Like President Xi has said, this is one of the pain points of the society and how to improve the living condition of the people of Hong Kong. Thank you.
