Applications open for Music Office's new programme "Innovative Music Making: MO x e-Orch"
******************************************************************************************
The Music Office (MO) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will launch a new music training programme "Innovative Music Making: MO x e-Orch", which will run from October to July next year. Interested primary and secondary schools are invited to join the programme. Organised by the MO, and in collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong, the training programme aims to promote the integration of music and technology.

Targets of the "Innovative Music Making: MO x e-Orch" programme are Primary Four to Primary Six students and Secondary One to Secondary Three students. Participants of each school will form a digital music orchestra, learn musical knowledge and music creation, and receive ensemble training with the use of tablets. Upon completion of the training, students will be invited to perform in a finale concert where they will also join the trainees of the Instrumental Music Training Scheme of the MO on stage. Various awards and certificates of attendance will be presented at the finale concert as encouragement.

Application forms can now be downloaded from the MO's website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/mo/activities/schoolprogrammes/arttech.html). Completed forms must be returned to the MO before July 18 by e-mail (moarttech@lcsd.gov.hk) or by fax (3104 1352). The MO will acknowledge schools' applications by email. For enquiries, please call 2158 6467 or 3842 7776.
