Shatin Donor Centre temporary relocation notice and public reminded to give blood to save lives during Easter holidays

The spokesperson for the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) announced today (April 11) that the Shatin Donor Centre located on 1A, Shatin Centre Street will be temporarily relocated to Units 16-17, 9/F, Tower 1, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, on Wednesday (April 13) for undergoing refurbishment works (see Annex 1). The service hours will remain unchanged from 11am to 7pm daily. The BTS apologises for any inconvenience caused.
The refurbished Shatin Donor Centre (to be completed by the first quarter of 2023) will provide a more comfortable and enhanced experience for donors, and will feature a new look. Donors who wish to donate blood at the Shatin Donor Centre can book in advance at 2603 0100.
Most donor centres will be open during the Easter holidays (see Annex 2). As a token of thanks, all successful blood donations during April 12 to 21 at donor centres or donation vehicles will receive one "double zipper bag" (see Annex 3), while stocks last.
To shorten the waiting time and avoid gathering of crowds, blood donors are advised to make appointment by calling the BTS Booking Hotline on 2710 1333 (during office hours) or donor centres, by booking online, or via the "HK Blood" mobile app. For details, please visit www.ha.org.hk/rcbts.
