Consumption Voucher Scheme Temporary Service Centre at Tin Shui Wai to suspend service today

     ​A spokesman for the Government today (March 19) said that as a staff member working at the Consumption Voucher Scheme Temporary Service Centre at Tin Ching Estate in Tin Shui Wai was preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19, the service centre will be closed today. Service will resume next Monday (March 21) after thorough cleaning of the centre concerned.

     The Consumption Voucher Scheme Secretariat will contact those with appointments for service at the centre today to reschedule their bookings. People can amend their stored value facility account information by sending the application forms by post. People collecting consumption vouchers through Octopus may also submit their applications through the scheme website. Members of the public may call the hotline at 18 5000 for enquiry.

     The staff concerned was responsible for providing services to the public at the counter with glass partitions to maintain an appropriate social distance from the public. He last performed duties yesterday. He did not show any symptoms and his body temperature was normal during temperature screening. He has worn mask and face shield and followed disease prevention measures at work.

     The Secretariat will arrange the staff of the centre to undergo COVID-19 testing. It will continue to maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection for appropriate follow-up actions. The Secretariat has also reminded staff to pay attention to personal hygiene and stay vigilant. Staff have been reminded to seek medical advice and inform the office as soon as possible if feeling unwell.
