******************************************************************************************
The Acting Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Jack Chan, today (February 26) joined major organisations separately to distribute anti-epidemic supplies in several districts with the aim of protecting Hong Kong people's health and safety, and uniting all in the fight against the virus. Mr Chan first presented 50 000 boxes of "Jinhua Qinggan Keli" donated by the Central Government to the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organisations for further distribution to people in need. Mr Chan then arrived at the Hong Kong Stadium to deliver the first lot of 1.8 million rapid antigen test kits from the Central Government to the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link.

Mr Chan said, "We are grateful to our Motherland for her prompt and generous donation of rapid antigen test kits to the Special Administrative Region Government, this really helps meet our imminent needs and boosts our anti-epidemic spirit. We understand that our Motherland will continue sending rapid antigen test kits to Hong Kong. After receiving the test kits, we immediately hand them over to the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link. With the help from their volunteer networks and the district networks of the Home Affairs Department, the test kits will be distributed to the citizens in the first instance."

Mr Chan is delighted that the mechanism of the Government and community collaboration in combating the virus has been operating at full steam. Under the lead of the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link and the strong co-operation among various clansmen associations, societies and local organisations, the anti-epidemic team has been augmented, demonstrating determination and unity. The Home Affairs Bureau has also made concerted efforts and would mobilise all manpower and resources to fight the epidemic.
