COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Station to commence December 3 (with photo)
***********************************************************************
A Government spokesman said today (November 27), "Operating as a vaccination vehicle, the COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Station is a new attempt to serve members of the public in different locations in a short period of time. In the past, it took a longer time for the outreach team to plan and prepare its vaccination services in the community, and there were also more restrictions on supporting facilities and venues."
The procedures of receiving a vaccination on the vaccination vehicle are the same as that in Community Vaccination Centres. There will be temporary waiting and resting areas at open spaces next to the vaccination vehicle and free medical consultation services will be available to people who are planning to get vaccinated on the spot. The vaccination vehicle is equipped with a wheelchair lift for people with impaired mobility to receive vaccination.
Only one type of vaccine will be provided at the vaccination vehicle, i.e. the Fosun/BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine or the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine. Members of the public can receive their first, second or third dose of vaccination at the mobile station.
The Mobile Vaccination Station will operate from 10am to 5pm. The last on-site registration time is at 4.30pm.
Walk-in services for eligible persons are available. To reduce waiting time, prior booking through a hotline is welcome. The hotline for enquiries and bookings is 5193 0375 (From 9am to 5pm on weekdays except public holidays).
The first batch of service locations and schedule for the Mobile Vaccination Station service are set out in the Annex.
Members of the public can refer to the designated website for COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (www.covidvaccine.gov.hk) for the service schedule of the Mobile Vaccination Station, which will be updated from time to time.
