"The Legends" to be presented by LCSD in "Dance on Screen" Series in October
******************************************************************************************
The "Dance on Screen" Series, presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will continue to bring fascinating dance scenes to audiences in October with showings of a film version of "The Legends" by Tango Legends from Argentina.

"The Legends" showcases famous tango moves from the streets and salons of Buenos Aires. The programme was performed by Tango Legends, one of the best and most highly skilled tango ensembles from Argentina, consisting of impressive young talents and established tango stars, with the addition of vocals and live music with passionate duets introducing the development of this intense music and dance art.

Tango Legends consists of 10 world tango champions and other award-winning dancers, as well as a remarkable music quartet plus two strong singers. All are backed by an excellent technical team and one of Argentina's leading costume designers.

Tango Legends was founded by Mariela Maldonado and Pablo Sosa, who have performed in some of the best tango shows, undertaken extensive world tours in over 40 countries and received rave reviews from international media. They made their professional debut in 1996 under the direction of, and with choreography by, Eduardo Arquimbau. In 2000, Tango Legends created "Alma de Tango", which toured Argentina and elsewhere in South America.

"The Legends" by Tango Legends is one of the films to be screened in the "Dance on Screen" Series.
