Police showcases multi-faceted work at Education and Careers Expo (with photos)

     The Hong Kong Police Force is showcasing the multi-faceted and professional nature of its work under the theme "Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty" at the four-day Education and Careers Expo 2021 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre starting today (July 15). The latest recruitment information will also be available at the Police recruitment booth.

     During the Expo, a total of 20 Police units and secondary duty cadres will take turn to brief visitors on their areas of work and equipment. Mentees and Police Ambassadors of the Police Mentorship Programme, the Police Mentorship Programme Outreach and Project ACHIEVE as well as some non-ethnic Chinese officers will introduce the projects on site.

     Demonstration sessions of various Police units are as follows:

July 15 (Thursday)
10.30am to 2.30pm – Police Dog Unit, Force Escort Group, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, Counter Terrorism Response Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Force Rope Access Cadre, Anti-Deception Coordination Centre, Force Search Unit, Railway Response Team

July 16 (Friday)
10.30am to 2.30pm – Police Dog Unit, Force Escort Group, Identification Bureau, Emergency Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Railway Response Team, Police Negotiation Cadre, Police Tactical Unit

July 17 (Saturday)
10.30am to 2.30pm – Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Commercial Crime Bureau (Expert and Support), Auxiliary Police, Police Dog Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Commercial Crime Bureau (Frauds), Small Boat Division, Airport Security Unit, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau

July 18 (Sunday)
10.30am to 2.30pm – Force Search Unit, Small Boat Division, Weapon Training Division, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau
2.30pm to 6pm – Airport Security Unit, Force Escort Group, Emergency Unit, Crime Prevention Bureau

     Members of the public who are interested in joining the Force as Probationary Inspector, Recruit Police Constable or Police Constable (Auxiliary) can apply at the Police recruitment booth. Applicants will undergo initial screening, including eyesight test, height and weight measurements. Officers from the Police Recruitment Division will also answer recruitment-related questions on spot.
