Resumption of services of Transport Department
**********************************************
The Transport Department (TD) today (June 28) announced that services provided in the TD's Licensing Offices at Admiralty, Cheung Sha Wan, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin as well as the Public Vehicles Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit and the Driving Test Appointment Office will resume within two hours upon the Hong Kong Observatory's announcement of cancelling the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal at 11.05am. Driving test services of Driving Test Centres and the Written Test Centre will resume in the afternoon.

Applicants who have made an appointment for driving licence related services, renewal of vehicle licence, transfer of vehicle ownership, application for an international driving permit, retention, transfer or assignment of vehicle registration mark, at any timeslot before lowering of the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or within two hours after the lowering of the signal may proceed to the Licensing Offices to submit their applications during opening hours (from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday) on or before July 6 without the need to make another appointment.

Candidates scheduled for a driving test (including road test and written test) this morning will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.

The vehicle examination centres are operating as usual today. If a scheduled vehicle fails to arrive at the vehicle examination centres while the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal was in force, the vehicle owners or their representatives can apply to the relevant centres for a free rescheduling.
