SCS speaks on COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
********************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Patrick Nip, at a media session after attending a radio programme this morning (June 5):

Reporter: How likely will you offer incentives and talks to the kids aged 12 to 15 for vaccination, for example, the outbound vaccination programme? And also, if not, will you expect a very low response rate from them?

Secretary for the Civil Service: We'll focus on two aspects. First is to disseminate information and the relevant data, messages to schools, including teachers, students and parents. And I am glad that the medical community has already been doing this. It's important for us to tell the schools about the importance of getting vaccination, and also the safety, the efficacy of getting the jabs.

The second is that we would arrange very convenient and multiple channels to enable students, parents and teachers to get vaccinated. So I appeal to all the relevant sectors to promote and get vaccinated because the next three months will be really very important and please get your first jab by the end of August.
