Latest arrangements for services of HAD

     ​In view of the latest developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) announced today (November 22) its service arrangements from tomorrow (November 23). The details are set out below.

     The Home Affairs Enquiry Centres (HAECs) in 18 districts will open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (from 10am to 5pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only for the HAEC in Mui Wo) to provide services for the public.

     Counter services of the Estate Beneficiaries Support Unit (EBSU) will be provided Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. The EBSU hotline (2835 1535) will continue to operate from 8.45am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

     The services provided by the Office of the Licensing Authority will remain normal. The opening hours will be from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). All licensing applications in connection with hotels, guesthouses and other premises as well as entertainment are encouraged to be submitted by post or using e-submission. Application forms and submission details can be found on the webpage of the Office of the Licensing Authority: www.hadla.gov.hk.

     The multi-purpose halls, conference rooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, activity rooms, study rooms and covered play areas of community halls and community centres (except from those used as community testing centres) will remain open to organisations with approved bookings. However, there will be limits on the number of participants for activities to be held and precautionary measures in order to ensure that appropriate social distancing and avoidance of infection.

     The HAD's hotlines for persons under home quarantine will operate between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.
