S for IT speaks on "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app (with photos/video)
*****************************************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Alfred Sit, at a media session after attending an event in support of the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app today (November 21):

Reporter: Could you explain what are the factors that you would consider to decide what high risk areas would be applied the app first? And then also could you offer more details on the 12 000 public and private places, how many of them are shops and how many of them are other public places, thank you.

Secretary for Innovation and Technology: About the breakdown of those shops or restaurants that they have already used our QR code of the "LeaveHomeSafe" app, I don't have the record in hand with me. But I assure you that we are going to have more shops and restaurants joining the scheme. Up to present, we have altogether 7 000 public venues using the "LeaveHomeSafe" app and about 5 000 are shops and restaurants. Thank you.
