Special traffic and transport arrangements in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun for Chung Yeung Festival
******************************************************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) today (October 9) reminded the public that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun for those visiting the Tsang Tsui Columbarium during the Chung Yeung Festival. In view of COVID-19, the TD appealed to members of the public to arrange grave-sweeping activities over a wider period before and after the Chung Yeung Festival (October 25) to avoid overcrowding.

The special traffic and transport arrangements will include:

1. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the period between October 10 and November 8, the section of Nim Wan Road between Yung Long Road and the access road to the Tsang Tsui Columbarium will be closed from 7am to 7pm, prohibiting all pedestrians and vehicles from entering (except franchised buses, vehicles heading for West New Territories Landfill and T·PARK, and vehicles with a valid closed road permit); and

2. KMB will operate a special service route No. 56S running between the MTR Tuen Mun Station and the Tsang Tsui Columbarium during the above-mentioned period.

Grave sweepers are not allowed to walk, drive or take a taxi to the Tsang Tsui Columbarium during the implementation of the road closure, and must take the KMB special service route No. 56S travelling to and from the MTR Tuen Mun Station and the Tsang Tsui Columbarium.

Members of the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on television and radio. They may also visit the TD's website (www.td.gov.hk), use the mobile application "HKeMobility" or call 1823 for the latest traffic and transport information.
