Tenders invited for Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area Stage 1 Works - Site Formation and Engineering Infrastructure

The works mainly include:
- site clearance and formation (including land decontamination works) for about 14 hectares of land, together with the provision of associated engineering infrastructure;
- construction of a district distributor road of about 500 metres long, which will be a dual two- to three-lane carriageway connecting to the existing interchange underneath the Kong Sham Western Highway, construction of a single two-lane local road of about 350m long, widening of a section of Fung Kong Tsuen Road to single two-lane carriageway of about 150m long and associated junction/road improvements;
- construction of about 1,700m-long sewers, about 360m-long sewage rising mains and a sewage pumping station (including electrical and mechanical works);
- construction of about 1,700m-long drainage pipes and the associated detention pond;
- construction of about 2,300m-long water mains; and
- implementation of environmental mitigation measures, environmental monitoring and an audit programme for the works mentioned above.
The works are scheduled to commence in March next year and will take about 60 months to complete.
The CEDD has commissioned Mott MacDonald Hong Kong Limited to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors may obtain the forms of tender and further particulars from the company at 3/F, International Trade Tower, 348 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The closing time for the tender is noon on December 18, 2020.
