Applications for subsidy schemes for commercial bathhouse and places of public entertainment licence holders to start tomorrow
******************************************************************************************
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) today (October 8) announced that applications for the subsidy schemes for commercial bathhouse licence holders and places of public entertainment licence holders under the third round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will start tomorrow (October 9).

An FEHD spokesman said, "The Government has announced earlier that there would be an injection to the Anti-epidemic Fund to roll out the third round of measures to enhance Hong Kong's anti-epidemic capability and provide relief to businesses and individuals hard hit by the epidemic and directly affected by the Government's anti-epidemic and social distancing measures, among which subsidies will be provided to commercial bathhouse licence holders and places of public entertainment licence holders."

The Commercial Bathhouse Subsidy Scheme will provide a one-off subsidy of $50,000 to each eligible licence holder of a commercial bathhouse. The Places of Public Entertainment Licence (PPEL) Holder Subsidy Scheme will provide a one-off subsidy of $50,000 for each eligible holder of a PPEL (excluding cinema operators eligible under the Cinemas Subsidy Scheme) and $10,000 for each eligible holder of a temporary PPEL (TPPEL).

Eligible licence holders should submit their applications in person or by mail. The deadline for applications is November 9. The target is that upon receipt of the completed application form and supporting documents and after verification, the disbursement of subsidies could generally be made in approximately two weeks by crossed cheques to the corresponding licenced premises or the correspondence address indicated by holders of a TPPEL.

The application forms and guidelines can be downloaded from the website of the FEHD (www.fehd.gov.hk) or be obtained from District Environmental Hygiene Offices of the FEHD starting from tomorrow. For details, please visit the website of the FEHD.
