Lai Chi Kok Park Skatepark opens (with photos)
**********************************************
The skatepark in Lai Chi Kok Park under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has been converted into an international-standard skatepark and opened for public use today (November 9).

The skatepark, covering about 1 600 square metres, provides diversified street element obstacles like ledges, stairs and rails. There is also a bowl suitable for skateboarding, aggressive inline skating, freestyle scootering and freestyle BMX. The skatepark is the first international standard skate plaza in Hong Kong certified by Street League Skateboarding, making it not only a high-quality venue for the community to engage in physical activity, but also a desirable training ground for Hong Kong skateboarding athletes to prepare for international competitions.

The skatepark in Lai Chi Kok Park is open from 7am to 10pm daily.

For enquiries, please contact the venue staff at 2307 0429, or visit the LCSD website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/index.html).
