Distinguished Chinese Scientists Lecture Series 2019 to be held next Friday at Hong Kong Science Museum

The scientists will conduct three lectures, which will be held from 2pm to 5.45pm. Below is a list of lecture topics with the relevant speaker:
- Topic: Latest Developments and Trends of Future Networks and 5G (in Putonghua)
Speaker: Mr Liu Yunjie (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of the Network Communication and Security Purple Mountain Laboratory)
- Topic: Development of Large Passenger Aircraft (in Putonghua)
Speaker: Dr Wu Guanghui (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Designer of C919 Programme)
- Topic: New Developments in Display Research (in Cantonese)
Speaker: Professor Kwok Hoi-sing (Chair Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Executive Director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies)

The lecture series is jointly presented by the Hong Kong Science Museum of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre and the Education Bureau.
Since 2003, more than 60 eminent Chinese scientists have been invited to the Distinguished Chinese Scientists Lecture Series to deliver talks on various topics, sharing the latest technological advancements with the public and encouraging young people to participate in scientific research.
