Corporate Games 2020 opens for enrolment
****************************************
The Corporate Games 2020, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), is open for enrolment from today (October 14). Employees of commercial and industrial organisations and the public sector are welcome to take part in the Games.

The biennial Corporate Games aims to encourage the working population to exercise regularly, while promoting team spirit and strengthening a sense of belonging to their organisations through participation in competitions. The Games promotes "Sport For All" to build an energetic and healthy community. It has been well received by different sectors of the community since its debut in 1990. More than 9 000 participants from 217 organisations took part in the last Games.

The Corporate Games 2020 will be held between February and October next year at various recreation and sports venues throughout Hong Kong. It comprises 11 competition events, namely athletics, badminton, basketball, distance run, snooker, table tennis, tennis, tenpin bowling, volleyball, 7-a-side mini-soccer and 11-a-side soccer.

All events will be divided into three groups. Organisations with 300 or more employees in Hong Kong will join Group A and organisations with fewer than 300 employees in Hong Kong will be in Group B, while Group C is for government departments. In addition to the champion and the first, second and third runner-up awards in each event, an overall championship trophy will be given to the organisation accumulating the highest points from all events in each group.

Please visit the dedicated website of the Corporate Games 2020 (corporategames.lcsd.gov.hk) for details. Enrolment is invited from today until November 18. Interested organisations may enrol online, or download the enrolment form from the website and return the completed form to the Major Events Section of the LCSD by post (address: 2/F, Leisure and Cultural Services Headquarters, 1-3 Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin) or by fax (2634 0786).
