Updated traffic and public transport situation
The Transport Department (TD) today (October 10) reminded members of the public to pay attention to the traffic situation and the latest public transport service arrangement this morning before starting their journey.

As at 5.30am, the latest public transport situation is as follows:

Except Tseung Kwan O Line, services of MTR Island Line, South Island Line, Disneyland Resort Line, Airport Express Line, Tung Chung Line, West Rail Line, East Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line, Tsuen Wan Line and Kwun Tong Line remain normal.

Tseung Kwan O Station of Tseung Kwan O Line is temporarily closed.

Except the Airport Express Line, the train services will end at 9pm.

In addition, Light Rail vehicles will not stop at Yau Oi, Tin Wing, Ginza, Tin Wu, Tin Tsz and Tin Shui Wai stops.

(II) Franchised bus

All franchised bus services remain normal. In view that the service of Tseung Kwan O Line has yet to resume normal, the TD has coordinated with franchised bus operators and strengthened existing bus services to cater for the passenger demand in Tseung Kwan O and help ease traffic.

(III) Ferry and Tramway

Ferry and tram services remain normal.

Meanwhile, some 30 sets of damaged traffic lights in various districts have yet to resume operation after days of emergency repair. It will take some time to repair those with higher degree of damages. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to be patient and pay attention to road safety when passing through the affected junctions. The concerned departments are actively following up on the repair works so that the traffic lights can resume normal operation as early as possible.

The TD is closely monitoring the traffic situation and is committed to maintaining normal operation of traffic facilities.

Members of the public are advised to stay alert to the latest traffic news and allow more time for travel. For details of the above public transport arrangements, members of the public can visit the TD's website or get the information through the TD's mobile application "HKeMobility".
